The future of farming is sustainable. And at Twig, we practice what we preach.
For us, this means paying more than lip service to running a more ethical, environmentally sound business. We committed to B Corp certification – the most well-known and well-respected measure of a company’s impact on people and planet.
Certification is more than a box ticking exercise. It’s an exhaustive process that asks businesses to examine their practices and policies to the finest detail. From parental leave to locally sourced lunches – B Corp leaves no stone unturned when it comes to measuring meaningful ways a business can do better and be a force for good.
Officially B Corp Certified
We gained our B Corp certification in 2024. Based on the B Impact assessment, Twig earned an overall score of 81.3. The median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is currently 50.9 – so we’re well ahead of the herd.
“Being B Corp certified matters – not just because we want to work for an ethically, environmentally sound business. But because it helps us understand our clients’ journey towards sustainability.”
Lauren Chambers, Senior Account Director
B Corp status is an ongoing commitment to change and improve.
Becoming a B Corp has meant we’ve made some significant shifts in the way we run our business. These include:
Mission lock – a legal commitment to people and planet alongside profit
Improved benefits for colleagues
Clear focus on community impact
But we’re not stopping there. B Corp certification is regularly reassessed. To keep your status, you need to do more than maintain the status quo – you need to demonstrate continuous improvement. So, watch this space. We’re just getting started when it comes to building a sustainable business.
