For close to two decades, Twig’s helped the food and farming sectors communicate more effectively.
But commercial agriculture is more than a specialism for us – it’s our family, friends and community.
We started Twig – then Reverberate PR – in 2007. After studying agriculture at university and starting out in farm consultancy and supply chain management, Phil moved into a communications role within a dairy cooperative. After seven years of valuable experience, the calling to work for himself won out – and he and his wife, Mel, established Reverberate.
The next few years were busy and we’re proud that some of our first clients still work with us to this day. 2010 was a landmark, as we brought our first team member on board and moved back to Devon to be closer to Mel’s family farm. In addition to her work with Reverberate, this was Mel’s chance to become more involved in the farming business, eventually joining the family partnership.
In the years that followed, we continued to expand our specialism – growing a talented team, signing new, industry-leading clients and adapting to thrive as Covid struck.
“We live and breathe commercial agriculture. From the farming families in our team, to our wider community. The success of the industry matters to us, personally.” Phil Gibson
The future? A firm focus on sustainable change within commercial agriculture.
In recent years, we’ve refined our focus. The future of agriculture depends on sustainable change. We’re doing more than helping our clients communicate this new paradigm – we’re walking the walk ourselves.
2024 saw us certified as a B Corp – a significant achievement and testament to our complete commitment when it comes to ethical, sustainable business. We also achieved a Silver rating as part of the EcoVadis sustainability assessment – placing us in the top 15% of businesses ranked across all industries.
As we approached two decades in the strategic comms game, it was time to step up our own presentation. A complete refresh saw us rebrand as Twig – named for our team’s ability to inspire those lightbulb moments, helping things really click for our clients.
Today, we continue to grow, learn and improve – working with some of the biggest and most well-respected names in the agricultural community, and always staying true to our values.
