After meeting at Seale-Hayne, where she was also studying for a degree in Agriculture, Mel co-founded Twig with Phil, and she remains a vital cornerstone of our leadership team to this day.
After graduating, Mel pursued a career in farming and the agricultural supply trade, working for Mole Valley Farmers and Pfizer, before concentrating on running Twig (then known as Reverberate.)
Today, Mel has returned to her farming roots, as a partner in her family dairy business. This hands-on role gives her fantastic insight into the latest technical and practical innovations in farming – as well as the challenges that the sector faces.
In her role with Twig, Mel keeps a particular focus on our people, strategy and internal systems, keeping everything functioning effectively and efficiently – for a happier team, and well-supported clients.
Between business and the farm, free time can be hard to come by – but when she does indulge in her hobbies, Mel enjoys reading, baking and perfecting her tennis backhand.
We’re pleased to announce a fresh new look and name. The next few years will see transformational change in agriculture.
We're ready to play our part.
